Watercolor Monograms
A current trend in wedding printing is the watercolor monogram. By using the first initial of the bride and groom in a decorative script, magic occurs on paper. If you take the initials and surround them with a watercolor wreath or border, you may achieve stationery nirvana.
The watercolor motif can be used on save the dates, invitations, programs, menus, seating cards and thank you notes. Each time a wedding guest sees the customized motif, they identify it with the bride and groom, which adds context and color to the celebration. Guests will delight in the fact that they are now part of your illustrated story.
Some couples take the monogram a step further and create a modern version of a heraldic crest with elements that describe their backgrounds and interests.
We have also seen this trend carry over to customized baby announcements.
